Personalization is the theme of the week — with Twitter planning to personalize your feed, Facebook enhancing your shopping experience by collaborating with Shopify, Linkedin increasing your chances of finding a job and Snapchat getting you an exclusive channel for the NBA, we’re more than excited to share what happened in the social media world this week: 

1. The NBA is now creating a weekly Snapchat Discover channel

Behind-the-scenes + In-game scenes from the NBA on Snapchat? Yes, it can’t get any better! By deciding to triple the content as compared to last year and choosing to create a separate channel instead of just ‘Live Stories,’ the app has impressed us. 2. Shopify Announces Facebook Messenger Integration to Enable Sales

Another week, another update. The Social Network has collaborated with Shopify, making shopper transactions easier! By integrating with Messenger, Shopify merchants will be able to sell their products directly to users. 3. Twitter plans to get up close and personal, surfacing content for your special interests

Hoping to make a more personalized space for all of its users, the social media app has decided to bring tweets around an event/ occasion which would include tweets from expert commentators as well as people who you follow. 4. Twitter might finally take a ‘meaningful’ step to address its troll problem

The platform has finally decided to combat its troll problem. The company came out with a statement on Thursday highlighting the issue  and has promised to work to solve it by updating its safety policies. With Twitter already introducing features in August which gave users more control over what notifications they see, what else do you think Twitter can include to ensure more safety?  

5. LinkedIn Just Made It a Lot Easier to Get Referred to a New Job
