Metter Media-Approved Home Office Tips

Like many companies across the country, Metter Media has gone completely remote during this time for the safety and wellbeing of our staff and everyone around us. Although the team misses their vibrant office in Central Square Cambridge, everyone is working from home in style. Gather some #WFH inspiration from the makeshift office spaces of Metter Media!

MM Home Office Tip #1: Add some plants to your workspace!

“Developing a routine has been essential for me working from home. I start my day by making coffee and organizing my to-do list for the day!” – Raechel Manzler, Associate Designer

Vice President of Metter Media Lyssa Goldberg works from her dining room table!

“To balance out my bounty of screens (yes there are 4 – I’m a designer, what can I say), I try to bring a bit of nature to my workspace – plants, natural light, and an always accessible jar of CBD oil.” – Ashley Rego, Creative Director

“I have a corner desk at my apartment, for me I like a clutter-free space. During the workday my essentials are coffee and a good playlist.” – Jackie Martinez, Corporate Division Director

Intern Victoria Harding’s workspace is a dining room table she shares with her dad. She personalized her side by adding small decorations, candles and flowers.

MM Home Office Tip #2: Pets are the ultimate coworkers.

Account Manager Hannah Graves uses her dining room table because it’s next to two huge windows that help her feel like she’s working outside. To keep clutter minimal, she only keeps her notebook and calendar out. The best part of her #WorkFromHome space is her dog, Tucker!

“I like switching between my larger screen and my smaller screen. And it’s always helpful to have my furry sidekick!” – Presley Angiel, Account Manager

Senior Account Manager Angela Bray’s home office has a lot of shelves and her cat is never shy to work alongside her. Not pictured: a floor-to-ceiling window to the left of her workspace!

MM Home Office Tip #3: Show off your personality with statement decorations.

“I just moved so while I don’t have a desk, I’ve made it work with my dresser! I find a nice smelling candle helps me focus and I need a quiet and organized space. The biggest challenge is to not get too distracted, but I’ve been doing okay so far!” – Alea Gilhuly-Mandel, Account Manager

“I would say that my desk is an amalgamation of things I like put in a way that is controlled chaos, but in a ‘cool’ way. I found the corkboard at a swap and shop and now it’s my vision board, with Danny Devito as my muse. I am deeply in love with the funky eye light and disco balls that illuminate all of the pictures of my friends and family. Although I may spend too many hours getting lost in Danny Devito’s eyes or being distracted all of my little treasures around the room. I still remain optimistic that this will be a clean, cool, and productive space!” – Kat Vaugh, Intern
