Say buh-bye to endless scrolling through Instagram in bed. The platform is testing out tapping through posts instead.

2. Facebook is bringing back MTV’s The Real World

by @nickstatt via @verge

Facebook is rebooting a classic reality TV show with an international twist. It’s set to be co-produced by MTV Studios and Bunim/Murray Productions, a pioneer of reality TV that helped create The Real World, Road Rules, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The Real World made history as the world’s first original reality show and the show is thrilled to create a much-needed reboot for today’s audiences!

3. Snapchat is a popular source for news among college students

by @mallorylocklear via @engadget

A number of studies have shown that people turn to social media for news. Out of all social networks, Facebook consistently leads the pack in this regard. But a new study from the Knight Foundation has turned up a surprising finding — among college students, Snapchat is the second most popular social media pathway to news behind Facebook. Despite the fact that Snapchat has lost over 3 million of users in the last quarter, maybe Snapchat news will help them get back on track!

4. Youtube went down for over an hour during an abrupt worldwide outage

by @choibboy via @businessinsider

YouTube was down for over an hour across the world… and the world promptly freaked out. The unprecedented outage had users and tech enthusiasts alarmed to the point that the Philadelphia police department tweeted “Yes, our @YouTube is down, too. No, please don’t call 911 – we can’t fix it.” Who knew that one hour without our favorite vlogs and sketches would cause such a pandemonium?

5. Why are so many rappers on LinkedIn?

by @PoppyNoor via @guardiang2

Many music fans follow their favorite artist on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. What about LinkedIn? It is recorded that more than 30,000 of rappers are using the world’s largest platform to make industry connections. Perhaps it should not come as a surprise though: Jay-Z, Drake, Gucci Mane and Rick Ross have all reportedly had their own LinkedIn profiles. When was the last time you updated your LinkedIn profile?
