#MeetMetter: Ashley Rego, Creative Director

Ashley Rego

Today, we’re excited to spotlight our Creative Director and current supervisor of our Luxury Residence Division, Ashley Rego. Ashley has been with Metter Media for 2+ years now, and we consider ourselves massively #BLESSED to have her on our team.

Beyond being a dog mom (@youcancallmeroo), newlywed, rock climber, camper, world traveler, and someone who somehow wakes up every day at 5am to work out — Ashley is somewhat of a creative genius here at Metter, and therefore the head of our Creative Team. Social media is all about coming up with new ideas, and then being able to turn your vision into a reality. That’s where Ashley comes in.

Sometimes, we tell her an idea, and when she presents us with the finished project, we wonder, “How did this come out of your head?!” Is it magic? Yes, yes it is. Thank you Ashley for blowing our minds on a daily basis, sans wand and/or broomstick. *insert Creative Witch emoji*

How did you get your start in social media?

When I graduated college, Instagram didn’t exist, Facebook and Twitter were still relatively new, and social media was nowhere near what it is today. That being said, there were a few companies who recognized its potential early on… and with a leap of faith, so did I. Shortly after graduation I started working for a company which managed blogs + Facebook accounts for a variety of clients. After that, I bopped around quite a bit, but found that with every position I landed, the prevalence of social media management was getting larger and larger.

When did you join Metter Media?

I joined the team in June of 2017 as an Account Manager working with a variety of hospitality and luxury residential/development clients. It was different than anything I had ever done before but it was a great opportunity to work on my client relation skills AND utilize my design background — eventually leading to my current position as Creative Director. As someone who would often get antsy in a job after one year, I’m so happy to have finally found a company that consistently keeps me motivated and inspired to grow… even after 2+ years.

Why is social media important/relevant to your industry?

The same reason it’s important to any industry — it’s where your customers are. As Supervisor of the Residential/Development division, I’ve been able to witness (and prove) first hand how important social media is for this industry. Not only is it the perfect platform to create awareness around new properties and generate qualified potential resident leads, but the social sphere gives these properties an opportunity to humanize communication, to build relationships with residents and to truly immerse the brand into the community.

What campaigns have you helped create that make you clients stand out from the rest?

There’s so many — we love to get creative with the residential division! I’m not sure if you would consider this a “campaign” but one of my favorite things that we do for our residential clients is organizing influencer collaborations. We’ve planned everything from fitness influencer events, to a “day-in-the-life” experience, to community crawls — it’s a really amazing way to get huge exposure for the properties.

What’s your #MMProTip?

First impressions are important… make the right one. Pick an aesthetic that’s true to your brand and stick to it. Not only does this keep your social profiles looking cohesive, it helps define and showcase your brand’s personality, whatever that may be.

Proudest moment so far?

Seeing the work our Creative Team has done for clients in revamping their social profiles. Anytime our team takes on the task of giving a brand a social makeover, I seriously swoon over the results. Every single time.
