#MeetMetter: Ashley Rego, Creative Director

Ashley Rego

Today, we’re excited to spotlight our Creative Director and current supervisor of our Luxury Residence Division, Ashley Rego. Ashley has been with Metter Media for 2+ years now, and we consider ourselves massively #BLESSED to have her on our team.

Beyond being a dog mom (@youcancallmeroo), newlywed, rock climber, camper, world traveler, and someone who somehow wakes up every day at 5am to work out — Ashley is somewhat of a creative genius here at Metter, and therefore the head of our Creative Team. Social media is all about coming up with new ideas, and then being able to turn your vision into a reality. That’s where Ashley comes in.

Sometimes, we tell her an idea, and when she presents us with the finished project, we wonder, “How did this come out of your head?!” Is it magic? Yes, yes it is. Thank you Ashley for blowing our minds on a daily basis, sans wand and/or broomstick. *insert Creative Witch emoji*

Kate From Maine: Boston Harbor Sunset Cruise

Kate Berry is one of our newest account managers at Metter Media. After moving to Boston from Maine, she’s made her own Boston Bucket List to ease into life as a new Bostonian. Follow along with her this summer as she explores all the city has to offer!

My next box to check on my bucket list was actually something I’ve been wanting to do with my mother. She came down from Maine to visit and, of course, wanted to explore the best the city has to offer. We walked through Faneuil Hall and proceeded to do all things “touristy” in that area. I wanted to do something that was a little more special and something that we could only do in the summer… and social media helped with the ultimate recommendation. What better summertime activity than a nice boat cruise in the harbor? Add booze and a sunset, and you have yourself a fantastic Boston evening. I really wanted to show off the city in all its glory and thought this would be the perfect way to do it.

Client Spotlight: Harborwalk Plymouth

Set along the beautiful coast of Plymouth Bay, Harborwalk Apartments delight with ocean views, designer details, resort style amenities, and the conveniences and community of revitalized Plymouth Station. Sounds dreamy, right? It is.

With features that pretty much sell themselves, Harborwalk simply needed a little help in getting the word out about all they have to offer, and to spread that message to the right people. With ample experience in social marketing for luxury residences, Metter Media was a clear solution.

Client Spotlight: Hotel Commonwealth

Hotel Commonwealth, the Official Hotel of the Boston Red Sox, is an independent boutique hotel in the heart of Kenmore Square, steps from Fenway Park and Boston University. Guests love Hotel Commonwealth for their unscripted hospitality and ‘of service’ mentality, not to mention large, comfortable guest rooms and award-winning on-site restaurants Eastern Standard and Island Creek Oyster Bar.

Hotel Commonwealth wanted to use social media to promote business while emphasizing their brand pillars with a local flavor. They started by doing it in-house, but soon realized they needed a professional agency to get the results they wanted.

Kate From Maine: Top of the Hub

Kate Berry is one of our newest account managers at Metter Media. After moving to Boston from Maine, she’s made her own Boston Bucket List to ease into life as a new Bostonian. Follow along with her this summer as she explores all the city has to offer!

Choosing my next destination for my Boston Bucket List was actually an easy choice. Everyone I’ve come in contact with who lives in the area has told me to head to Top of the Hub. As my boyfriend and I are more of the type to go to the local tavern to grab a beer and a burger, I thought this would be a great opportunity for us to get some excellent food — and for him to wear a shirt that has buttons.

I got a little ahead of myself and booked out a reservation nearly a month in advance — and I’m glad I did. Flying up the stories in the fastest elevator in Boston, we reached the top floor of the Prudential Center seconds after the doors closed behind us. I casually eavesdropped on the other couple in the elevator as they spoke about how they hoped there was room at the bar since it’s always packed. A tide of relief rushed over me, thanking myself for booking reservations ahead of time.

As we got off the elevator and walked into the restaurant, I could tell I was a bit out of my element.

Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Applebee’s anymore.

Everyone was decked out in their nicest attire and all of the servers were very professionally dressed. We were nicely greeted by the hostess who then started to guide us to our table.

Since the moment I made the reservations a month ago, I was worried about not being able to sit by the window. I know — first world problems. But, when you make a reservation here, isn’t that the point?!  Luckily, we were able to sit right next to the window, so close our palms began to sweat. Did I mention my boyfriend doesn’t like heights? Glad we could compromise on a date at the highest elevated restaurant in Boston!

When our server greeted us, we immediately asked what he would suggest for a bottle of wine. He knew exactly what we wanted. Not only did he choose the best wine I’ve ever had, but also the cheapest one on the menu. (Was it something I said?)

The Caesar salad alone was immensely delicious. Followed by an $80 steak and crème brûlée, this was quite possibly one of the best dinners I’ve had so far in this city. Next time I’m feeling “spendy” I will definitely make another reservation for Top of the Hub. Consider this spot checked off of my Boston Bucket List.

Kate is an Account Manager at Metter Media. She’s a true Mainer, but her love for the city has brought her to Beantown. She is a lover of all things dog and craft beer related.

Kate From Maine: Kate Goes to Fenway

Kate Berry is one of our newest account managers at Metter Media. After moving to Boston from Maine, she’s made her own Boston Bucket List to ease into life as a new Bostonian. Follow along with her this summer as she explores all the city has to offer!

It all started with, “What’s a Sweetgreen?” That’s when I knew I was living in a whole new world — one full of Market Baskets and DoorDash. See, I’m from Central Maine where the whole town lost its shit when we got a Chick-fil-a. So, you can see why my whole world got rocked when I moved to Boston a few months ago. This is why I have set out on a journey to check off as many things as possible on my Boston bucket list. First on the list: a Red Sox game.

I’d be lying if I said this was my first game. I went to one when I was in elementary school, but the only thing I can remember is getting an ice cream in a helmet and what felt like a days-long trip in the car. I needed a real Fenway experience.
